Last January 5th we dedicated our Christmas race to our brothers in Philippines. Such race, "Run for the Philippines ", sets the starting point of an exciting project with our partners the Aboitiz Foundation.
All resulting funds raised from the 1,500 people that runner our race and private donations will be used to rebuild and furnish a school northern Cebu, the South Anonang School (Elementary School) in the town of Bogo that will accommodate 323 students in four classrooms recovered with these funds. . Some school classrooms have collapsed and are now completely unusable. Students, today had to teach in damaged classrooms. The construction has start may of 2014.
Moreover, the Aboitiz Foundation, allocate other funds to build another six new classrooms at this school, to raise their number to 10 and therefore set the capacity to 723 students.
This will be our bit to help to our brother land, the Philippines that is still much suffering from devastating Typhoon Yolanda . With this we send our support and solidarity from Madrid.
